About
Dramus Theatre Inc.
Delighting the Hamilton region for over 50 years...
Dramus Theatre started in 1971- an amalgamation of Hamilton Theatre Players and Hamilton Light Opera Co. The name is derived from the 2 key focuses of our founding groups, Drama and Music! Our first official production as Dramus, Little Red Riding Hood, was a hit. What followed was 50 years of blood, sweat and laughter, and amazing shows of course!

Dramus was originally based at Kennedy Street, putting on upwards of 50 plays at the site. This was in spite of not even having change rooms! In 1987, Dramus sold the Kennedy St hall and purchased the old Victorian Railways Institute hall on Brown Street, named Hadden Theatre after our second life member, Bill Hadden. Since then, Hadden Theatre has been Dramus's home, providing venues for musicals, theatre restaurants, major productions and even the occasional Karaoke night!
